Optimistic Realist

Is there any way
to be a realist
and an optimist?
A wise person
once said that
the difference
between optimists
and pessimists
is not the glass
-half-full-glass-
half-empty thing,
but optimists
seek solutions
to problems
whereas pessimists
put up with them.
Optimists
know the light
at the end
of the tunnel
isn’t always
a train. But
if it is,
God, like superman,
is more powerful
than a speeding
locomotive.
