Abstract poem

Happy Campers

Don’t be snippy, snide, or delirious, just dream
Of steak and potatoes caramels, candied apples, and cream
The ships they reach the shore and celebrate land
The fishes charm the fishermen where they stand
The chickens peck at the fish bait saying, “Mine!”
While the worms are chilling under the pine
Oh they tickle from tippy toes to crown
His face turns crimson till he gets them down
Laughter bubbles into goodbyes until next year
Then they’ll get out the games, grilling, and fishing gear
