Summer
Breeze Caregiver Version
With
the Dynamic Duo tucked in bed,
we
retreat to the sofa on the porch
and
hold hands in the summer breeze.
As
caregivers, we added an extra life stage.
When
people our age our planning trips,
we
dream of leaving the house alone together.
It
reminds me of the dating years
when
we’d watch for opportunities
to
escape into the night.
