Monday Oahu Adventure
M onday, we went to the
Polynesian Cultural Center.
O ne long day. We
N ever thought about
upgrading until we got on the bus.
D ecided to get
A guided tour. So
Y et another expense,
but
O nce we got going we
were glad we did. It rained
A ll day. Left to our
own devices we would have stayed indoors.
H ad to wear ponchos.
Splashed around like ducks. No
U mbrellas. We watched
lots of dancing.
A nd we made fish out of
leaves. Mine
D ied. We played a ball
in a cup game. I was better at that. We tried poi.
V ery interesting stuff.
Looked like purplish glue. Didn’t taste bad.
E veryone laughed as
audience members participated with drummer.
N ext we watched parade
of canoes. Many colors and more dancing.
T hen we went shopping.
I bought a
U kulele with hopes of
learning to play it someday.
R eally enjoyed the
evening luau. Took pictures and received leis.
E veryone ate till full.
Watched a show we thought would never end. Exhausted. Wet.
